Cutting Out Images
Cutting out images (usually pictures of something) is still a pretty big trend. It's hard to do, but not too hard. Basically, here's how I do it.
I take an image of something, here's an example.
Now, what I do, is crop (using the crop tool ) around the image and paste it on a new transparent image. (File --> New. Background: transparent. Make it a big enough image to be bigger than the original image you are trying to cut out.)
Now, using the freehand tool (looks like a rope ) you will trace CAREFULLY (very carefully) around the image. What I do, is trace a piece, and get rid of the stuff around it. Basically by ctrl + x I delete it. I want the image to stay, and the stuff I don't want to be cut out. Then, when you're satisfied with what you've done, it should look like this:
Now, what you do, is copy the image you have, and paste it on as a new layer or selection over the background or wherever you want it.
