Name
Velvet-Rose.net was chosen for several reasons. In my poems I often use the rose metaphor, especially when writing about myself. The prettiest roses look like they are velvet, according to my Mom, who called one of our roses in our backyard a velvet rose. I thought that was a very beautiful combination of words. I like simple and elegant things, and this combination was both. I thought about it for some time, and ended up picking it for my domain name.
